My daughter’s giddy announcements of, “I saw a dog!!”, every time we left the house are the inspiration for the name Saw Dog Woodworking.  The business itself is inspired by both my wife and daughter. Without their loving support I would never have been able to get this off the ground.

In 2006 I began making furniture out of necessity.  We had just bought our first home and wanted to phase out the haphazard, prefab, dumpster fodder that seems to furnish every 20 something year old’s apartment. It all started with a coffee table. From there more furniture began to emerge, followed by friends making requests for their homes, and then colleagues my wife worked with and so on… As the years passed and the requests for my furniture continued I realized this isn’t just a hobby; this is a good business.  20 years later that first coffee table still has a prominent place in our living room.  I’d love the opportunity to build a lasting piece for your home.
